We offer three plans that are designed for your specific needs. We offer a Landline Service plan (our most basic package), as well as a Wireless Security plan and a Smart Home plan (our most comprehensive plan). Our plans are $15 per month, $25 per month, and $35 per month, accordingly. All of our plans include 24/7 monitoring services, including protection from intrusion, fire, and environmental hazards. Our landline plan works with your landline phone connection.
The Wireless Security plan is a bit of an upgrade from the Landline Service plan. First of all, you won’t need a landline installed to connect wirelessly. We’ll integrate our security services with your cell phone, and we’ll enable remote access to the system through our unique mobile app.
Our Smart Home plan has even more additions. You’ll again enjoy wireless connection through your cell phone. You can also use our app to monitor live video from your home, you can install a two-way voice communication box, and you will be able to remotely control your doors, lights, and the temperature of your home through your thermostat — take note, it does cost more to install additional equipment under the Smart Home plan, and you can customize the additions that you’d like to have for your personal security and accessibility plan.
If you’d like to customize your home security plan, don’t hesitate to give us a call to learn about our options, and to get a custom quote for your project. All of our plans are paid month by month, so you don’t have to worry about signing up for a long-term contract.

Our systems even extend beyond simple security. With Fifteen Alarms, you can install a “smart home” system that integrates any number of additional accessories into your system, providing unparalleled control, even when you’re away from the house. For instance, you can have us install lights, door locks, and a thermostat (among other things), all of which can be linked to our unique smart device app, which you can access at any time from anywhere. Turn the lights on for a guest while you’re away. Or cut down on your energy bill with the tap of your screen while you’re at the office. Our integrated systems make home security and home comfort incredibly easy.
We do both! We can install a brand new security system in your home, or we can provide security services retroactively, through your current security system.
If you’d like to install a new security system, we have partnered with Honeywell to provide a variety of systems, including models like Honeywell's LYNX Touch 5200 (an all in one system), the Honeywell 7000 (an all in one system), the Honeywell 6280 (a traditional split security system), the Honeywell 6160 (a traditional split security system), and the Honeywell 6150 (a traditional split security system).
If you’re retrofitting your current home security system with upgrades, or if you’d simply like to switch providers to take advantage of our unparalleled customer support and lower rates, then we can work with nearly any system on the market that you may already have installed in your home. Oftentimes, there’s little or no cost to transfer your security coverage to Fifteen Alarms — simply sign up for one of our month to month coverage plans for as long as you’d like.
As we mentioned, we also provide a variety of upgrades that work alongside our security systems, all of which may be controlled remotely via your phone or smart device. We can install a full home automation system, a digital cellular monitoring system (which integrates your security system wirelessly with your smartphone or other devices); we can install a live security surveillance camera; we can install a video doorbell to monitor those who are at your door while you’re away from the house — and we can install a secure, remote door lock, so you can even let guests in while you’re away; we can install monitored smoke detectors throughout your abode; and we can even integrate our remote access system with a smart thermostat, so that you can control the temperature and comfort of your home from anywhere.
Obviously, the first step to protecting your home is to install a home security system with 24/7 coverage. Beyond that, you can take a few simple steps to keep your home as safe as possible. Here’s our advice:
Install cameras: Cameras won’t just capture a crime if it should happen on your property. They also serve as a great deterrent, keeping criminals from targeting your house. Consider installing cameras around the exterior of your home at its entrances and around other easy-access entry points (including window wells, and first-story windows). With Fifteen Alarms, we can integrate your security system with cameras that can capture and record any activity on your property. Your cameras may also be incorporated with our mobile app, so that you have a live feed of your property, whenever you’d like to log on to take a look.
Keep your home exterior and interior well-lit: Burglars tend to shy away from homes that are well-lit. A well-lit interior serves as a signal that someone is in the house, even when they aren’t. Even keeping a single room lit can serve as a deterrent. You should also install and utilize exterior lighting to keep your entryways illuminated. This protective measure works doubly well if you have cameras installed, since potential intruders will know that they’re being monitored.
Get a dog: Dogs are fantastic crime deterrents. If you spend your days away from the house, having a dog or two can keep burglars from targeting your home, since dogs can prove dangerous to strangers and intruders.
Ensure you have strong doors, windows, latches, and locks: It’s important to ensure that your easiest access points are secured with strong latches and locks, and to ensure that the doors and windows that you have are strong in and of themselves. Since most break-ins are committed through the front door or back door of a home, it’s crucial that you have a strong deadbolt, a sturdy door, and a strong frame to hold those components in place. These doors should, obviously, be integrated with your security system. Likewise, windows around your property should be strong, well-framed, and they should have secure latches that are integrated with your security system as well. If an intruder attempts a breakin and they come up against a strong and secure door or window, they’re more likely to give up after a failed entry attempt.
Yes. In fact, the University of North Carolina’s Department of Criminal Justice & Criminology performed a study on the statistics behind that question. In their study, where they interviewed incarcerated men and women who were convicted of burglary crimes, UNC reported that burglars often consider security systems, among other factors, when determining a target home or building. Here’s a quote from the report, regarding security systems and other deterrents:
- “Close proximity of other people (including traffic, those walking nearby, neighbors, people inside the establishment, and police officers), lack of escape routes, and indicators of increased security (alarm signs, alarms, dogs inside, and outdoor cameras or other surveillance equipment) was considered by most burglars when selecting a target.
- Within a broad set of potential target hardening deterrents, alarms and outdoor cameras and other surveillance equipment were considered by a majority of burglars.
- About 60% of the burglars indicated that the presence of an alarm would cause them to seek an alternative target altogether. This was particularly true among the subset of burglars that were more likely to spend time deliberately and carefully planning a burglary.
- Most burglars would try to determine if an alarm was present before attempting a burglary. Among those that determined that an alarm was present after initiating a burglary, about half would discontinue the attempt.”
One of the most staggering statistics of this study, in our opinion, was the fact that “[approximately] 60% of the burglars indicated that the presence of an alarm would cause them to seek an alternative target altogether.” That means that more than half of potential crimes are preventable, simply by installing an alarm system. On top of that, the study tells us that the better your system appears to be, the less likely your home will be targeted for a burglary.
